\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

If it is not possible to purchase seed and\/or vegetative propagating material grown using the organic production method, it is possible to ask the control organisation for permission to use non-organic seed and\/or vegetative propagating material. The authorisation shall be granted:<\/p>

- for each economic unit separately<\/p>

- for one season;<\/p>

- before sowing.<\/p>

Information on seed authorisations issued and quantities of seed is available on request from the control organisation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The control organisation may decide to recognise retroactively that the transitional period includes any previous period during which:<\/p>

1. parcels registered in an official environmental protection or similar programme, provided that the relevant measures guarantee that no products not authorised for use in organic production have been used on these parcels; or<\/p>

2. the parcels were natural areas or agricultural land that had not been treated with products not authorised for use in organic production.<\/p>

The period referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 may be taken into account if sufficient evidence is provided to the control organisation that the relevant conditions have been met for at least three years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Authorisation of the use of non-organic animals, in accordance with Article 26 of Reg. 2021\/1698<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Before granting derogations for the use of non-organic livestock species (bovine, equine, ovine, caprine, porcine and cervid, rabbit and poultry) in accordance with points 1.3.4.3 and 1.3.4.4 of Part II of Annex II to the Regulation ( EU) 2018\/848<\/a>, the control authority shall, on receipt of the operator's application ANN-F-BL-093 'Approval for the use of non-organically reared animals', assess the following information and prepare a justification for each derogation:<\/p>

(a) scientific and common name (common name and Latin name, i.e. species and genus);<\/p>

(b) varieties and lines;<\/p>

(c) production purposes: meat, milk, eggs, dual use or breeding;<\/p>

(d) the total number of animals;<\/p>

(e) the availability of the animal species concerned reared under organic conditions in the third country concerned;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
