Chief Accountant

We are looking for a knowledgeable and responsible colleague who will organise the company’s accounting, ensure the accuracy of financial information and provide support to management on financial matters.

Responsibilities:

• To organise and oversee full-cycle accounting in accordance with the requirements of Latvian legislation.
• Prepare tax returns, financial statements and the company’s annual report.
• To ensure the accounting and control of wages, fixed assets, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• To record and allocate costs across the company’s areas of operation.
• To ensure VAT accounting for taxable and non-taxable transactions.
• Update the organisation’s accounting documents and improve accounting processes.
• To cooperate with auditors, the State Revenue Service, banks and other institutions.

Requirements:

• A degree in accountancy, finance or economics.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting and the preparation of annual accounts. Experience in the role of chief accountant will be considered an advantage.
• A good knowledge of Latvian accounting and tax legislation.
• Proficiency in using accounting software Horizon, the SRS EDS and Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to organise one’s own work independently, meet deadlines and analyse financial data.
• Accuracy, responsibility, confidentiality and good interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of the official language; knowledge of English and Russian would be an advantage (for working with clients from third countries);
