Donau Soja and Europe Soya standart
We are pleased to inform you that we have obtained the authorization to carry out an inspection, which is part of the certification process, according to the Donau Soja and Europe Soya standard.
The Donau Soja and Europe Soya verification programme is designed to confirm the origin of soy and its products, the absence of genetic modification, the limited use of pesticides, environmental protection during production and a range of other environmental, economic and social aspects.
On 5 January 2023, the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD, Directive (EU) 2022/2464) entered into force. This Directive amends and sets out rules on social and economic reporting, in particular on corporate social and environmental impact assessment, identification of financial risks and potential actions in relation to climate change and other sustainability issues. Such reporting is required from 2025 onwards (reporting period from 2024) by EU national organisations. Certification to sustainability-related standards is thus in many cases a prerequisite for exporting products to EU countries.
The requirements of the Donau Soja and Europe Soya standards are in many respects similar to those of the EU organic standard, so existing organic farmers will be able to implement these standards in their production.
