Labelling of organic products

The labels "Bio" and "Eco" may be used throughout the Community and in any Community language, alone or in combination, for the labelling and advertising of products which comply with the requirements of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007. The label shall also indicate, in the visual field of the logo, the code of the control body that controls the operator who carried out the last production or preparation. The place where the agricultural raw materials contained in the product were produced shall be indicated below the control body code. This indication shall be in one of the following types, as appropriate: 'Agriculture in the EU' - the agricultural raw materials are produced in the EU; 'Agriculture outside the EU' - the agricultural raw materials are produced in third countries; 'Agriculture in the EU/outside the EU' - part of the agricultural raw materials are produced in the EU and part in a third country. The indication 'EU' or 'non-EU' may be replaced or supplemented by the name of the country if all the agricultural raw materials contained in the product are grown in that country.
