Bio Suisse is the leading organic farming organisation in Switzerland. It manages the "Bud label", one of the most recognised organic labels on the Swiss market. Bio Suisse standards are based on the principles of organic farming, with a focus on sustainability, soil fertility, biodiversity, animal welfare and social responsibility.
Bio Suisse develops its own standards in line with the IFOAM organic principles, but these standards go beyond the requirements of the European Union organic regulations. This ensures higher quality criteria for both raw materials and finished products entering the Swiss market.
SIA "Certification and Testing Centre" (STC) is officially recognised as the certification body authorised to carry out the Bio Suisse additional requirements verification and certification for operators whose products are already certified under Regulation (EU) 2018/848. This means that organic producers wishing to export their products to Switzerland can now rely on STC as a trusted partner in the Bio Suisse certification process.
This cooperation opens up new export opportunities for organic farmers and producers, while demonstrating compliance with one of the strictest organic standards in Europe.
